Congratulations to SLS on receiving the Athena Swan Bronze Award

The School of Life Sciences has joined the elite group of Departments holding the Athena SWAN bronze level award in recognition of the School’s commitment to and achievements in advancing career progression of academics, professional and support staff, as well as students and that equality and diversity issues are understood, visible and prioritised in higher education (HE) and research in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM).

Thank you to everyone in the School for their contributions toward this achievement, especially those on the Athena SWAN committee for their work in putting the bid together.

Staff Culture Survey 2016 – Please fill in

The School of Life Sciences is applying for an Athena SWAN Bronze award in April 2016. An important part of this process is finding out how staff feel about working in the School and the various practices and policies that are in place.
As such, we would really appreciate a few minutes of your time to complete the SLS Staff Culture survey. All responses are anonymous, so please do feel free to answer honestly and to provide any comments at the end of the survey that you feel are relevant.
We will use the results of this survey to help us to build our Action Plan for change, so it is vital that we get responses from as many staff as possible, across all parts of the School – including postgraduate research students, post-docs, technical support, admin staff and academics.
The survey is available here:
If you have any questions or comments relating to the survey, please contact Lisa Collins (lcollins@lincoln.ac.uk)
